The Feast of Trumpets
(Leviticus 23:23–25)

1  וּבַחֹ֨דֶשׁ (And in the month), הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י (seventh) בְּאֶחָ֣ד (on the first) לַחֹ֗דֶשׁ (of the month), מִֽקְרָא־ (a convocation) קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ (holy) יִהְיֶ֣ה (shall have) לָכֶ֔ם (you⁺); כָּל־ (any) מְלֶ֥אכֶת (work) עֲבֹדָ֖ה (customary) לֹ֣א (not) תַעֲשׂ֑וּ (you⁺ shall do). י֥וֹם (A day) תְּרוּעָ֖ה (of sounding) יִהְיֶ֥ה (it is) לָכֶֽם׃ (for you⁺).

2  וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֨ם (And you⁺ shall offer) עֹלָ֜ה (a burnt offering) לְרֵ֤יחַ (as an aroma) נִיחֹ֙חַ֙ (pleasing) לַֽיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH): פַּ֧ר (A bull) בֶּן־ (a son) בָּקָ֛ר (of the herd) אֶחָ֖ד (one), אַ֣יִל (ram) אֶחָ֑ד (one), כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (lambs) בְּנֵי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) שִׁבְעָ֖ה (and seven) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 3  וּמִנְחָתָ֔ם (and their grain offerings) סֹ֖לֶת (of fine flour) בְּלוּלָ֣ה (mixed) בַשָּׁ֑מֶן (with the oil), שְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה (three) עֶשְׂרֹנִים֙ (tenths of an ephah) לַפָּ֔ר (for the bull), שְׁנֵ֥י (two) עֶשְׂרֹנִ֖ים (tenths) לָאָֽיִל׃ (for the ram), 4  וְעִשָּׂר֣וֹן (and a tenth) אֶחָ֔ד (one) לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ (for the lamb) הָאֶחָ֑ד (one), לְשִׁבְעַ֖ת (for the seven) הַכְּבָשִֽׂים׃ (the lambs), 5  וּשְׂעִיר־ (and kid) עִזִּ֥ים (of the goats) אֶחָ֖ד (one) חַטָּ֑את (as a sin offering), לְכַפֵּ֖ר (to make atonement) עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ (upon you⁺). 6  מִלְּבַד֩ (Besides) עֹלַ֨ת (the burnt offering with) הַחֹ֜דֶשׁ (the New Moon), וּמִנְחָתָ֗הּ (and its grain offering) וְעֹלַ֤ת (and burnt offering), הַתָּמִיד֙ (the regular) וּמִנְחָתָ֔הּ (and its grain offering), וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֖ם (and their drink offerings), כְּמִשְׁפָּטָ֑ם (according to their ordinance), לְרֵ֣יחַ (as an aroma) נִיחֹ֔חַ (pleasing), אִשֶּׁ֖ה (a fire offering) לַיהוָֽה׃ס (to YHWH).

The Day of Atonement

7  וּבֶעָשׂוֹר֩ (And on the tenth) לַחֹ֨דֶשׁ (of month) הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י (seventh) הַזֶּ֗ה (this), מִֽקְרָא־ (a convocation) קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ (holy) יִהְיֶ֣ה (shall have) לָכֶ֔ם (you⁺), וְעִנִּיתֶ֖ם (and you⁺ shall afflict) אֶת־ (-) נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם (your⁺ souls); כָּל־ (any) מְלָאכָ֖ה (work) לֹ֥א (not) תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃ (you⁺ shall do).

(Deuteronomy 16:13–17)

12  וּבַחֲמִשָּׁה֩ (And the five) עָשָׂ֨ר (and tenth) י֜וֹם (on day) לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ (of the month) הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י (seventh) מִֽקְרָא־ (a convocation) קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ (holy) יִהְיֶ֣ה (shall have) לָכֶ֔ם (you⁺); כָּל־ (any) מְלֶ֥אכֶת (work) עֲבֹדָ֖ה (customary) לֹ֣א (not) תַעֲשׂ֑וּ (you⁺ shall do). וְחַגֹּתֶ֥ם (And you⁺ shall keep) חַ֛ג (a feast) לַיהוָ֖ה (to YHWH) שִׁבְעַ֥ת (seven) יָמִֽים׃ (days).

13  וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֨ם (And you⁺ shall present) עֹלָ֜ה (a burnt offering), אִשֵּׁ֨ה (a fire offering) רֵ֤יחַ (an aroma) נִיחֹ֙חַ֙ (pleasing) לַֽיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH), פָּרִ֧ים (bulls) בְּנֵי־ (sons) בָקָ֛ר (of the herd) שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה (three) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten), אֵילִ֣ם (rams) שְׁנָ֑יִם (two), כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (and lambs) בְּנֵֽי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) אַרְבָּעָ֥ה (four) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten); תְּמִימִ֥ם (unblemished) יִהְיֽוּ׃ (they shall be), 14  וּמִנְחָתָ֔ם (and their grain offerings) סֹ֖לֶת (of fine flour) בְּלוּלָ֣ה (mixed) בַשָּׁ֑מֶן (with the oil), שְׁלֹשָׁ֨ה (three) עֶשְׂרֹנִ֜ים (tenths of an ephah) לַפָּ֣ר (for bull) הָֽאֶחָ֗ד (one), לִשְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה (of three) עָשָׂר֙ (and ten) פָּרִ֔ים (bulls), שְׁנֵ֤י (two) עֶשְׂרֹנִים֙ (tenths) לָאַ֣יִל (for ram) הָֽאֶחָ֔ד (one) לִשְׁנֵ֖י (for two) הָאֵילִֽם׃ (the rams), 15  וְעִשָּׂרׄוֹן֙ (and a tenth) עִשָּׂר֔וֹן (part of an ephah) לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ (for the lamb) הָאֶחָ֑ד (one), לְאַרְבָּעָ֥ה (for the four) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) כְּבָשִֽׂים׃ (lambs), 16  וּשְׂעִיר־ (and kid) עִזִּ֥ים (of the goats) אֶחָ֖ד (one) חַטָּ֑את (as a sin offering), מִלְּבַד֙ (besides) עֹלַ֣ת (burnt offering) הַתָּמִ֔יד (the regular), מִנְחָתָ֖הּ (its grain offering), וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃ס (and its drink offering).

17  וּבַיּ֣וֹם (And on the day) הַשֵּׁנִ֗י (second) פָּרִ֧ים (bulls) בְּנֵי־ (sons) בָקָ֛ר (of the herd) שְׁנֵ֥ים (two) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten), אֵילִ֣ם (rams) שְׁנָ֑יִם (two), כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (lambs) בְּנֵי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) אַרְבָּעָ֥ה (four) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 18  וּמִנְחָתָ֣ם (and their grain offerings) וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֡ם (and their drink offerings) לַ֠פָּרִים (for the bulls), לָאֵילִ֧ם (for the rams), וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֛ים (and for the lambs), בְּמִסְפָּרָ֖ם (by their number), כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ (according to the ordinance), 19  וּשְׂעִיר־ (and kid) עִזִּ֥ים (of the goats) אֶחָ֖ד (one) חַטָּ֑את (as a sin offering), מִלְּבַד֙ (besides) עֹלַ֣ת (burnt offering) הַתָּמִ֔יד (the regular), וּמִנְחָתָ֖הּ (and its grain offering) וְנִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃ס (and their drink offerings).

20  וּבַיּ֧וֹם (And on the day) הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֛י (third): פָּרִ֥ים (Bulls) עַשְׁתֵּי־ (one) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten), אֵילִ֣ם (rams) שְׁנָ֑יִם (two), כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (lambs) בְּנֵי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) אַרְבָּעָ֥ה (four) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 21  וּמִנְחָתָ֣ם (and their grain offerings) וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֡ם (and their drink offerings) לַ֠פָּרִים (for the bulls), לָאֵילִ֧ם (for the rams), וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֛ים (and for the lambs), בְּמִסְפָּרָ֖ם (by their number), כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ (according to the ordinance), 22  וּשְׂעִ֥יר (and goat) חַטָּ֖את (as a sin offering) אֶחָ֑ד (one), מִלְּבַד֙ (besides) עֹלַ֣ת (burnt offering) הַתָּמִ֔יד (the regular), וּמִנְחָתָ֖הּ (and its grain offering), וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃ס (and its drink offering).

23  וּבַיּ֧וֹם (And on the day) הָרְבִיעִ֛י (fourth): פָּרִ֥ים (Bulls) עֲשָׂרָ֖ה (ten), אֵילִ֣ם (rams) שְׁנָ֑יִם (two), כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (lambs) בְּנֵֽי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) אַרְבָּעָ֥ה (four) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 24  מִנְחָתָ֣ם (and their grain offerings) וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֡ם (and their drink offerings) לַ֠פָּרִים (for the bulls), לָאֵילִ֧ם (for the rams), וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֛ים (and for the lambs), בְּמִסְפָּרָ֖ם (by their number), כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ (according to the ordinance), 25  וּשְׂעִיר־ (and kid) עִזִּ֥ים (of the goats) אֶחָ֖ד (one) חַטָּ֑את (as a sin offering), מִלְּבַד֙ (besides) עֹלַ֣ת (burnt offering) הַתָּמִ֔יד (the regular), מִנְחָתָ֖הּ (its grain offering), וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃ס (and its drink offering).

26  וּבַיּ֧וֹם (And on the day) הַחֲמִישִׁ֛י (fifth): פָּרִ֥ים (Bulls) תִּשְׁעָ֖ה (nine), אֵילִ֣ם (rams) שְׁנָ֑יִם (two), כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (and lambs) בְּנֵֽי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) אַרְבָּעָ֥ה (four) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 27  וּמִנְחָתָ֣ם (and their grain offerings) וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֡ם (and their drink offerings) לַ֠פָּרִים (for the bulls), לָאֵילִ֧ם (for the rams), וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֛ים (and for the lambs), בְּמִסְפָּרָ֖ם (by their number), כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ (according to the ordinance), 28  וּשְׂעִ֥יר (and goat) חַטָּ֖את (as a sin offering) אֶחָ֑ד (one), מִלְּבַד֙ (besides) עֹלַ֣ת (burnt offering) הַתָּמִ֔יד (the regular), וּמִנְחָתָ֖הּ (and its grain offering), וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃ס (and its drink offering).

29  וּבַיּ֧וֹם (And on the day) הַשִּׁשִּׁ֛י (sixth) פָּרִ֥ים (bulls), שְׁמֹנָ֖ה (eight) אֵילִ֣ם (rams), שְׁנָ֑יִם (two) כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (and lambs) בְּנֵי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) אַרְבָּעָ֥ה (four) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 30  וּמִנְחָתָ֣ם (and their grain offerings) וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֡ם (and their drink offerings) לַ֠פָּרִים (for the bulls), לָאֵילִ֧ם (for the rams), וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֛ים (and for the lambs), בְּמִסְפָּרָ֖ם (by their number), כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ (according to the ordinance), 31  וּשְׂעִ֥יר (and goat) חַטָּ֖את (as a sin offering) אֶחָ֑ד (one), מִלְּבַד֙ (besides) עֹלַ֣ת (burnt offering) הַתָּמִ֔יד (the regular), מִנְחָתָ֖הּ (its grain offering), וּנְסָכֶֽיהָ׃פ (and its drink offerings).

35  בַּיּוֹם֙ (On the day) הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י (eighth) עֲצֶ֖רֶת (a sacred assembly) תִּהְיֶ֣ה (shall have) לָכֶ֑ם (you⁺); כָּל־ (any) מְלֶ֥אכֶת (work) עֲבֹדָ֖ה (customary) לֹ֥א (not) תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃ (you⁺ shall do). 36  וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֨ם (And you⁺ shall present) עֹלָ֜ה (a burnt offering), אִשֵּׁ֨ה (a fire offering) רֵ֤יחַ (an aroma) נִיחֹ֙חַ֙ (pleasing) לַֽיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH), פַּ֥ר (bull) אֶחָ֖ד (one), אַ֣יִל (ram) אֶחָ֑ד (one), כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (lambs) בְּנֵי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) שִׁבְעָ֖ה (seven) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 37  מִנְחָתָ֣ם (and their grain offerings), וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֗ם (and their drink offerings) לַפָּ֨ר (for the bull), לָאַ֧יִל (for the ram), וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֛ים (and for the lambs), בְּמִסְפָּרָ֖ם (by their number), כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ (according to the ordinance), 38  וּשְׂעִ֥יר (and goat) חַטָּ֖את (as a sin offering) אֶחָ֑ד (one), מִלְּבַד֙ (besides) עֹלַ֣ת (burnt offering) הַתָּמִ֔יד (the regular), וּמִנְחָתָ֖הּ (and its grain offering), וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃ (and its drink offering).

39  אֵ֛לֶּה (These) תַּעֲשׂ֥וּ (you⁺ shall present) לַיהוָ֖ה (to YHWH) בְּמוֹעֲדֵיכֶ֑ם (at your⁺ appointed times), לְבַ֨ד (in addition to) מִנִּדְרֵיכֶ֜ם (your⁺ vows) וְנִדְבֹתֵיכֶ֗ם (and your⁺ freewill offerings), לְעֹלֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ (for your⁺ burnt offerings), וּלְמִנְחֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם (and for your⁺ grain offerings), וּלְנִסְכֵּיכֶ֖ם (and for your⁺ drink offerings), וּלְשַׁלְמֵיכֶֽם׃ (and for your⁺ peace offerings).

40  וַיֹּ֥אמֶר (And) מֹשֶׁ֖ה (Moses) אֶל־ (spoke) בְּנֵ֣י (to the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל (of Israel) כְּכֹ֛ל (according to all) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) צִוָּ֥ה (had commanded) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) אֶת־ (-) מֹשֶֽׁה׃פ (Moses).
