Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread
(Exodus 12:14–28; Leviticus 23:4–8; Numbers 28:16–25)

1  שָׁמוֹר֙ (Observe) אֶת־ (-) חֹ֣דֶשׁ (the month) הָאָבִ֔יב (of Abib) וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ (and keep) פֶּ֔סַח (the Passover) לַיהוָ֖ה (to YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ (your God), כִּ֞י (for) בְּחֹ֣דֶשׁ (in the month) הָֽאָבִ֗יב (of Abib) הוֹצִ֨יאֲךָ֜ (brought you) יְהוָ֧ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ (your God) מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם (out of Egypt) לָֽיְלָה׃ (by night).

2  וְזָבַ֥חְתָּ (And you shall sacrifice) פֶּ֛סַח (the Passover) לַיהוָ֥ה (to YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ (your God), צֹ֣אן (of the flock) וּבָקָ֑ר (or of the herd), בַּמָּקוֹם֙ (in the place) אֲשֶׁר־ (where) יִבְחַ֣ר (chooses) יְהוָ֔ה (YHWH) לְשַׁכֵּ֥ן (to put) שְׁמ֖וֹ (for His Name) שָֽׁם׃ (there). 3  לֹא־ (Not) תֹאכַ֤ל (you shall eat) עָלָיו֙ (with it) חָמֵ֔ץ (leavened bread); שִׁבְעַ֥ת (seven) יָמִ֛ים (days) תֹּֽאכַל־ (you shall eat) עָלָ֥יו (with it) מַצּ֖וֹת (unleavened bread), לֶ֣חֶם (the bread) עֹ֑נִי (of affliction)— כִּ֣י (for) בְחִפָּז֗וֹן (in haste) יָצָ֙אתָ֙ (you came) מֵאֶ֣רֶץ (out of the land) מִצְרַ֔יִם (of Egypt)— לְמַ֣עַן (so that) תִּזְכֹּר֔ (you may remember) אֶת־ (-) י֤וֹם (the day) צֵֽאתְךָ֙ (of your coming out) מֵאֶ֣רֶץ (of the land) מִצְרַ֔יִם (of Egypt) כֹּ֖ל (all) יְמֵ֥י (the days) חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ (of your life).

4  וְלֹֽא־ (And not) יֵרָאֶ֨ה (shall be seen) לְךָ֥ (among you) שְׂאֹ֛ר (leaven) בְּכָל־ (in all) גְּבֻלְךָ֖ (your territory) שִׁבְעַ֣ת (seven) יָמִ֑ים (days); וְלֹא־ (and not) יָלִ֣ין (shall remain overnight) מִן־ (any of) הַבָּשָׂ֗ר (the flesh) אֲשֶׁ֨ר (that) תִּזְבַּ֥ח (you sacrifice) בָּעֶ֛רֶב (in the evening) בַּיּ֥וֹם (on the day) הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן (first) לַבֹּֽקֶר׃ (until the morning).

5  לֹ֥א (Not) תוּכַ֖ל (you may) לִזְבֹּ֣חַ (sacrifice) אֶת־ (-) הַפָּ֑סַח (the Passover) בְּאַחַ֣ד (within one) שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ (of your gates) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ (your God) נֹתֵ֥ן (gives) לָֽךְ׃ (you). 6  כִּ֠י (For) אִֽם־ (only) אֶל־ (at) הַמָּק֞וֹם (the place) אֲשֶׁר־ (where) יִבְחַ֨ר (chooses) יְהוָ֤ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ (your God) לְשַׁכֵּ֣ן (to dwell) שְׁמ֔וֹ (for His Name) שָׁ֛ם (there) תִּזְבַּ֥ח (you shall sacrifice) אֶת־ (-) הַפֶּ֖סַח (the Passover) בָּעָ֑רֶב (in the evening), כְּב֣וֹא (at the going down) הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ (of the sun), מוֹעֵ֖ד (the appointed time) צֵֽאתְךָ֥ (you came out) מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ (from Egypt). 7  וּבִשַּׁלְתָּ֙ (And you shall roast it) וְאָ֣כַלְתָּ֔ (and eat it) בַּמָּק֕וֹם (in the place) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) יִבְחַ֛ר (chooses) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ (your God) בּ֑וֹ (in it), וּפָנִ֣יתָ (and you shall turn) בַבֹּ֔קֶר (in the morning) וְהָלַכְתָּ֖ (and go) לְאֹהָלֶֽיךָ׃ (to your tents).

8  שֵׁ֥שֶׁת (Six) יָמִ֖ים (days) תֹּאכַ֣ל (you shall eat) מַצּ֑וֹת (unleavened bread), וּבַיּ֣וֹם (and on the day) הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י (seventh) עֲצֶ֙רֶת֙ (is a sacred assembly) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ (your God); לֹ֥א (not) תַעֲשֶׂ֖ה (you shall do) מְלָאכָֽה׃ס (work).

The Feast of Weeks
(Numbers 28:26–31)

9  שִׁבְעָ֥ה (Seven) שָׁבֻעֹ֖ת (weeks) תִּסְפָּר־ (you shall count) לָ֑ךְ (for yourself) מֵהָחֵ֤ל (from beginning) חֶרְמֵשׁ֙ (the sickle) בַּקָּמָ֔ה (among the grain)— תָּחֵ֣ל (you shall begin) לִסְפֹּ֔ר (to count) שִׁבְעָ֖ה (seven) שָׁבֻעֽוֹת׃ (weeks). 10  וְעָשִׂ֜יתָ (And you shall keep) חַ֤ג (the Feast) שָׁבֻעוֹת֙ (of Weeks) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ (your God) מִסַּ֛ת (with the tribute) נִדְבַ֥ת (of a freewill offering) יָדְךָ֖ (from your hand), אֲשֶׁ֣ר (which) תִּתֵּ֑ן (you shall give) כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר (as) יְבָרֶכְךָ֖ (blesses you) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ (your God). 11  וְשָׂמַחְתָּ֞ (And you shall rejoice) לִפְנֵ֣י׀ (before the face) יְהוָ֣ה (of YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ (your God)— אַתָּ֨ה (you), וּבִנְךָ֣ (and your son), וּבִתֶּךָ֮ (and your daughter), וְעַבְדְּךָ֣ (and your manservant), וַאֲמָתֶךָ֒ (and your maidservant), וְהַלֵּוִי֙ (and the Levite) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (who is) בִּשְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ (within your gates), וְהַגֵּ֛ר (and the sojourner), וְהַיָּת֥וֹם (and the fatherless), וְהָאַלְמָנָ֖ה (and the widow) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (who is) בְּקִרְבֶּ֑ךָ (among you) בַּמָּק֗וֹם (at the place), אֲשֶׁ֤ר (where) יִבְחַר֙ (chooses) יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ (your God) לְשַׁכֵּ֥ן (to dwell) שְׁמ֖וֹ (for His Name) שָֽׁם׃ (there).

12  וְזָ֣כַרְתָּ֔ (And you shall remember) כִּי־ (that) עֶ֥בֶד (a slave) הָיִ֖יתָ (you were) בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם (in Egypt), וְשָׁמַרְתָּ֣ (and you shall be careful) וְעָשִׂ֔יתָ (and do) אֶת־ (-) הַֽחֻקִּ֖ים (the statutes) הָאֵֽלֶּה׃פ (these).

The Feast of Tabernacles
(Numbers 29:12–40)

13  חַ֧ג (The Feast) הַסֻּכֹּ֛ת (of Booths) תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה (shall observe) לְךָ֖ (You) שִׁבְעַ֣ת (seven) יָמִ֑ים (days), בְּאָ֨סְפְּךָ֔ (when you have gathered) מִֽגָּרְנְךָ֖ (from your threshing floor) וּמִיִּקְבֶֽךָ׃ (and from your winepress). 14  וְשָׂמַחְתָּ֖ (And you shall rejoice) בְּחַגֶּ֑ךָ (in your feast)— אַתָּ֨ה (you), וּבִנְךָ֤ (and your son), וּבִתֶּ֙ךָ֙ (and your daughter), וְעַבְדְּךָ֣ (and your manservant), וַאֲמָתֶ֔ךָ (and your maidservant), וְהַלֵּוִ֗י (and the Levite), וְהַגֵּ֛ר (and the sojourner), וְהַיָּת֥וֹם (and the fatherless), וְהָאַלְמָנָ֖ה (and the widow) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (who is) בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃ (within your gates).

15  שִׁבְעַ֣ת (Seven) יָמִ֗ים (days) תָּחֹג֙ (you shall celebrate a feast) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ (your God) בַּמָּק֖וֹם (in the place) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) יִבְחַ֣ר (chooses) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH), כִּ֣י (because) יְבָרֶכְךָ֞ (will bless you) יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ (your God) בְּכֹ֤ל (in all) תְּבוּאָֽתְךָ֙ (your produce) וּבְכֹל֙ (and in all) מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה (the work) יָדֶ֔יךָ (of your hands), וְהָיִ֖יתָ (and will be) אַ֥ךְ (complete) שָׂמֵֽחַ׃ (your joy).

16  שָׁל֣וֹשׁ (Three) פְּעָמִ֣ים׀ (times) בַּשָּׁנָ֡ה (in a year) יֵרָאֶ֨ה (shall appear) כָל־ (all) זְכוּרְךָ֜ (your males) אֶת־ (-) פְּנֵ֣י׀ (before the face of) יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ (your God) בַּמָּקוֹם֙ (in the place) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that) יִבְחָ֔ר (He chooses): בְּחַ֧ג (At the Feast) הַמַּצּ֛וֹת (of the Unleavened), וּבְחַ֥ג (and at the Feast) הַשָּׁבֻע֖וֹת (of Weeks), וּבְחַ֣ג (and at the Feast) הַסֻּכּ֑וֹת (of Booths). וְלֹ֧א (And not) יֵרָאֶ֛ה (they shall appear) אֶת־ (-) פְּנֵ֥י (before the face of) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) רֵיקָֽם׃ (emptily)— 17  אִ֖ישׁ (a man) כְּמַתְּנַ֣ת (as) יָד֑וֹ (he is able) כְּבִרְכַּ֛ת (according to the blessing) יְהוָ֥ה (of YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ (your God) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) נָֽתַן־ (He has given) לָֽךְ׃ס (you).

Judges and Justice

18  שֹׁפְטִ֣ים (Judges) וְשֹֽׁטְרִ֗ים (and officers) תִּֽתֶּן־ (you shall appoint) לְךָ֙ (to you) בְּכָל־ (within all) שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ (your gates) אֲשֶׁ֨ר (that) יְהוָ֧ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ (your God) נֹתֵ֥ן (gives) לְךָ֖ (to you), לִשְׁבָטֶ֑יךָ (according to your tribes), וְשָׁפְט֥וּ (and they shall judge) אֶת־ (-) הָעָ֖ם (the people) מִשְׁפַּט־ (with judgment) צֶֽדֶק׃ (righteous).

19  לֹא־ (Not) תַטֶּ֣ה (you shall twist) מִשְׁפָּ֔ט (justice); לֹ֥א (not) תַכִּ֖יר (you shall show) פָּנִ֑ים (partiality), וְלֹא־ (and not) תִקַּ֣ח (take) שֹׁ֔חַד (a bribe); כִּ֣י (for) הַשֹּׁ֗חַד (a bribe) יְעַוֵּר֙ (blinds) עֵינֵ֣י (the eyes) חֲכָמִ֔ים (of the wise) וִֽיסַלֵּ֖ף (and twists) דִּבְרֵ֥י (the words) צַדִּיקִֽם׃ (of the righteous).

20  צֶ֥דֶק (Justice)— צֶ֖דֶק (and justice alone) תִּרְדֹּ֑ף (you shall pursue), לְמַ֤עַן (that) תִּֽחְיֶה֙ (you may live) וְיָרַשְׁתָּ֣ (and inherit) אֶת־ (-) הָאָ֔רֶץ (the land) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ (your God) נֹתֵ֥ן (is giving) לָֽךְ׃ס (to you).

Forbidden Forms of Worship

21  לֹֽא־ (Not) תִטַּ֥ע (you shall plant) לְךָ֛ (for yourself) אֲשֵׁרָ֖ה (an Asherah pole) כָּל־ (of any) עֵ֑ץ (tree) אֵ֗צֶל (near) מִזְבַּ֛ח (the altar) יְהוָ֥ה (of YHWH) אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ (your God) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) תַּעֲשֶׂה־ (you build) לָּֽךְ׃ס (for yourself). 22  וְלֹֽא־ (And not) תָקִ֥ים (shall set up) לְךָ֖ (you) מַצֵּבָ֑ה (a sacred pillar), אֲשֶׁ֥ר (which) שָׂנֵ֖א (hates) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ס (your God).
