Good News Translation
"And so Babylon will be haunted by demons and evil spirits, and by unclean birds. Never again will people live there, not for all time to come.

Therefore wild animals shall live with hyenas in Babylon, and ostriches shall inhabit her; she shall never again be peopled, or inhabited for all generations.

Contemporary English Version
Never again will people live in your land--only desert animals, jackals, and unclean birds.
