1Unto the end, a psalm for David. How long, O Lord, wilt thou forget me unto the end? how long dost thou turn away thy face from me? 2How long shall I take counsels in my soul, sorrow in my heart all the day?3How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?…
For my life is wasted with grief: and my years in sighs. My strength is weakened through poverty and my bones are disturbed.
For I am ready for scourges: and my sorrow is continually before me.
These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me: for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God: With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting.
I will say to God: Thou art my support. Why hast thou forgotten me? and why go I mourning, whilst my enemy afflicteth me?
Thou hast set up the right hand of them that oppress him: thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
How long, O Lord, shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? shall I cry out to thee suffering violence, and thou wilt not save?
