Seek out the LORD and His strength;

Israel was to depend on the power of the covenant God rather than human ability or military strength. His might had been displayed in the Exodus, the wilderness, and His preservation of the nation. The command calls God’s people to worship, obey, and rely on Him for the strength they lack.

(4) Seek the Lord.--Better, Enquire after Jehovah and his power. The congregation is directed to the historical survey which follows. This sense seems settled by Psalm 111:2 : "The works of Jehovah are great, enquired into by all those who take delight in them." And hence the word "strength" must be understood as used generally of the manifestation of Divine power in the wondrous deeds now to be mentioned.

Verse 4. - Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Turn to the Lord, not from him; seek his favour, his support, the light of his countenance.

Psalm 105:4 strings together three imperatives that form one seamless call: intentionally pursue the LORD Himself, depend on His limitless power, and maintain unbroken fellowship with Him. Life centered on these realities stands strong, stays joyful, and walks in step with the God who faithfully reveals Himself to those who seek Him.
