Acts 7:23
When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his brothers, the sons of Israel.

And when he saw one of them being wronged, Moses went to his defense and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian who was oppressing him.

By faith Moses, when he was grown, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter.

Exodus 1:11
So the Egyptians appointed taskmasters over the Israelites to oppress them with forced labor. As a result, they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh.

Exodus 5:4
But the king of Egypt said to them, "Moses and Aaron, why do you draw the people away from their work? Get back to your work!"

Exodus 5:5
Pharaoh also said, "Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you would be stopping them from their labor."

Exodus 6:6
Therefore tell the Israelites: 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians and deliver you from their bondage. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.

Exodus 6:7
I will take you as My own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
