Jesus got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own town.
When Jesus had again crossed by boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him beside the sea.
On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,

So Zacchaeus hurried down and welcomed Him joyfully. . . .
because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing he was a righteous and holy man. When he heard John's words, he was greatly perplexed; yet he listened to him gladly.
David himself calls Him Lord. So how can He be David's son?" And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.
John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you were willing for a season to bask in his light.
Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my doorway.
So I sent for you immediately, and you were kind enough to come. Now then, we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has instructed you to tell us."
