1  וַיַּקְהֵ֣ל (And gathered together) מֹשֶׁ֗ה (Moses) אֶֽת־ (-) כָּל־ (all) עֲדַ֛ת (the congregation) בְּנֵ֥י (of the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (of Israel) וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (and he said) אֲלֵהֶ֑ם (to them), אֵ֚לֶּה (These are) הַדְּבָרִ֔ים (the words) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) צִוָּ֥ה (has commanded you) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) לַעֲשֹׂ֥ת (to do) אֹתָֽם׃ (them): 2  שֵׁ֣שֶׁת (Six) יָמִים֮ (days) תֵּעָשֶׂ֣ה (shall be done) מְלָאכָה֒ (work), וּבַיּ֣וֹם (and in the day) הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י (the seventh) יִהְיֶ֨ה (shall be) לָכֶ֥ם (for you⁺) קֹ֛דֶשׁ (holy), שַׁבַּ֥ת (a Sabbath) שַׁבָּת֖וֹן (of complete rest) לַיהוָ֑ה (to YHWH). כָּל־ (Every) הָעֹשֶׂ֥ה (the doer) ב֛וֹ (on it) מְלָאכָ֖ה (of work) יוּמָֽת׃ (shall be put to death). 3  לֹא־ (Not) תְבַעֲר֣וּ (you⁺ shall kindle) אֵ֔שׁ (a fire) בְּכֹ֖ל (in any) מֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם (of your⁺ dwellings) בְּי֖וֹם (on the day) הַשַּׁבָּֽת׃פ (of the Sabbath).

4  וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (And spoke) מֹשֶׁ֔ה (Moses) אֶל־ (to) כָּל־ (all) עֲדַ֥ת (the congregation) בְּנֵֽי־ (of the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (of Israel), לֵאמֹ֑ר (saying), זֶ֣ה (This is) הַדָּבָ֔ר (the word) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) צִוָּ֥ה (has commanded) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH), לֵאמֹֽר׃ (saying), 5  קְח֨וּ (take) מֵֽאִתְּכֶ֤ם (from among you⁺) תְּרוּמָה֙ (a contribution) לַֽיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH); כֹּ֚ל (everyone) נְדִ֣יב (of a willing) לִבּ֔וֹ (heart), יְבִיאֶ֕הָ (he shall bring it) אֵ֖ת (-) תְּרוּמַ֣ת (as a contribution) יְהוָ֑ה (to YHWH):

זָהָ֥ב (Gold), וָכֶ֖סֶף (and silver), וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (and bronze),

6  וּתְכֵ֧לֶת (and blue), וְאַרְגָּמָ֛ן (and purple), וְתוֹלַ֥עַת (and yarn) שָׁנִ֖י (scarlet),

וְשֵׁ֥שׁ (and fine linen), וְעִזִּֽים׃ (and goats’ hair).

7  וְעֹרֹ֨ת (And skins) אֵילִ֧ם (ram) מְאָדָּמִ֛ים (dyed red), וְעֹרֹ֥ת (and skins) תְּחָשִׁ֖ים (badger),

וַעֲצֵ֥י (and wood) שִׂטִּֽים׃ (acacia).

8  וְשֶׁ֖מֶן (And oil) לַמָּא֑וֹר (for the light),

וּבְשָׂמִים֙ (and spices) לְשֶׁ֣מֶן (for oil) הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה (the anointing), וְלִקְטֹ֖רֶת (and for incense) הַסַּמִּֽים׃ (of the spices).

9  וְאַ֨בְנֵי־ (And stones) שֹׁ֔הַם (of onyx), וְאַבְנֵ֖י (and stones) מִלֻּאִ֑ים (as settings) לָאֵפ֖וֹד (for the ephod) וְלַחֹֽשֶׁן׃ (and for the breastplate).

The Skilled Craftsmen

10  וְכָל־ (And all) חֲכַם־ (wise) לֵ֖ב (of heart) בָּכֶ֑ם (among you⁺) יָבֹ֣אוּ (shall come) וְיַעֲשׂ֔וּ (and they shall make) אֵ֛ת (-) כָּל־ (all) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) צִוָּ֖ה (has commanded) יְהוָֽה׃ (YHWH).

11  אֶת־ (-) הַ֨מִּשְׁכָּ֔ן (The tabernacle), אֶֽת־ (-) אָהֳל֖וֹ (its tent), וְאֶת־ (and) מִכְסֵ֑הוּ (its covering), אֶת־ (-) קְרָסָיו֙ (its clasps), וְאֶת־ (and) קְרָשָׁ֔יו (its boards), אֶת־ (-) בְּרִיחָ֕ו (its bars), אֶת־ (-) עַמֻּדָ֖יו (its pillars), וְאֶת־ (and) אֲדָנָֽיו׃ (its bases);

12  אֶת־ (-) הָאָרֹ֥ן (the ark), וְאֶת־ (and) בַּדָּ֖יו (its poles), אֶת־ (-) הַכַּפֹּ֑רֶת (the mercy seat), וְאֵ֖ת (and) פָּרֹ֥כֶת (the veil) הַמָּסָֽךְ׃ (of the screen);

13  אֶת־ (-) הַשֻּׁלְחָ֥ן (the table), וְאֶת־ (and) בַּדָּ֖יו (its poles), וְאֶת־ (and) כָּל־ (all) כֵּלָ֑יו (its vessels), וְאֵ֖ת (and) לֶ֥חֶם (the Bread) הַפָּנִֽים׃ (of the Presence),

14  וְאֶת־ (and) מְנֹרַ֧ת (the lampstand) הַמָּא֛וֹר (of the light), וְאֶת־ (and) כֵּלֶ֖יהָ (its vessels), וְאֶת־ (and) נֵרֹתֶ֑יהָ (its lamps), וְאֵ֖ת (and) שֶׁ֥מֶן (the oil) הַמָּאֽוֹר׃ (of the light);

15  וְאֶת־ (and) מִזְבַּ֤ח (altar) הַקְּטֹ֙רֶת֙ (of the incense), וְאֶת־ (and) בַּדָּ֔יו (its poles),

וְאֵת֙ (and) שֶׁ֣מֶן (oil) הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה (the anointing), וְאֵ֖ת (and) קְטֹ֣רֶת (incense) הַסַּמִּ֑ים (of the spices), וְאֶת־ (and)

מָסַ֥ךְ (the screen) הַפֶּ֖תַח (of the door) לְפֶ֥תַח (for the entrance) הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃ (of the tabernacle);

16  אֵ֣ת׀ (-) מִזְבַּ֣ח (the altar) הָעֹלָ֗ה (of the burnt offering), וְאֶת־ (and) מִכְבַּ֤ר (grate) הַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ (the bronze) אֲשֶׁר־ (that is), ל֔וֹ (for it) אֶת־ (-) בַּדָּ֖יו (its poles), וְאֶת־ (and) כָּל־ (all) כֵּלָ֑יו (its vessels),

אֶת־ (-) הַכִּיֹּ֖ר (the basin) וְאֶת־ (and) כַּנּֽוֹ׃ (its stand),

17  אֵ֚ת (-) קַלְעֵ֣י (the hangings) הֶחָצֵ֔ר (of the court), אֶת־ (-) עַמֻּדָ֖יו (its pillars), וְאֶת־ (and) אֲדָנֶ֑יהָ (its bases), וְאֵ֕ת (and) מָסַ֖ךְ (the screen) שַׁ֥עַר (of the gate) הֶחָצֵֽר׃ (of the court),

18  אֶת־ (-) יִתְדֹ֧ת (the pegs) הַמִּשְׁכָּ֛ן (of the tabernacle), וְאֶת־ (and) יִתְדֹ֥ת (the pegs) הֶחָצֵ֖ר (of the court), וְאֶת־ (and) מֵיתְרֵיהֶֽם׃ (their cords),

19  אֶת־ (-) בִּגְדֵ֥י (the garments) הַשְּׂרָ֖ד (woven) לְשָׁרֵ֣ת (for ministering) בַּקֹּ֑דֶשׁ (in the Holy Place) אֶת־ (-), בִּגְדֵ֤י (the garments) הַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙ (holy) לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן (for Aaron) הַכֹּהֵ֔ן (the priest), וְאֶת־ (and) בִּגְדֵ֥י (the garments) בָנָ֖יו (of his sons) לְכַהֵֽן׃ (to minister as priests).

The People Offer Gifts

20  וַיֵּֽצְא֛וּ (And departed) כָּל־ (all) עֲדַ֥ת (the congregation) בְּנֵֽי־ (of the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (of Israel) מִלִּפְנֵ֥י (from before the face) מֹשֶֽׁה׃ (of Moses). 21  וַיָּבֹ֕אוּ (And they came in) כָּל־ (every) אִ֖ישׁ (man) אֲשֶׁר־ (whom) נְשָׂא֣וֹ (lifted him) לִבּ֑וֹ (his heart), וְכֹ֡ל (and everyone) אֲשֶׁר֩ (whom) נָדְבָ֨ה (impelled him) רוּח֜וֹ (his spirit) אֹת֗וֹ (-), הֵ֠בִיאוּ (and they brought) אֶת־ (-) תְּרוּמַ֨ת (a contribution) יְהוָ֜ה (of YHWH) לִמְלֶ֨אכֶת (for the work) אֹ֤הֶל (of the Tent) מוֹעֵד֙ (of Meeting), וּלְכָל־ (and for all) עֲבֹ֣דָת֔וֹ (its service), וּלְבִגְדֵ֖י (and for the garments) הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ (holy).

22  וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ (And they came in), הָאֲנָשִׁ֖ים (the men) עַל־ (along with) הַנָּשִׁ֑ים (the women), כֹּ֣ל׀ (everyone) נְדִ֣יב (willing) לֵ֗ב (of heart). הֵ֠בִיאוּ (They brought) חָ֣ח (hooks), וָנֶ֜זֶם (and earrings), וְטַבַּ֤עַת (and rings), וְכוּמָז֙ (and necklaces), כָּל־ (every) כְּלִ֣י (article) זָהָ֔ב (of gold); וְכָל־ (and everyone) אִ֕ישׁ (man) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (who) הֵנִ֛יף (waved) תְּנוּפַ֥ת (a wave offering) זָהָ֖ב (of gold) לַיהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH).

23  וְכָל־ (And every) אִ֞ישׁ (man) אֲשֶׁר־ (whom) נִמְצָ֣א (was found) אִתּ֗וֹ (with) תְּכֵ֧לֶת (blue), וְאַרְגָּמָ֛ן (and purple), וְתוֹלַ֥עַת (and yarn) שָׁנִ֖י (scarlet), וְשֵׁ֣שׁ (and fine linen), וְעִזִּ֑ים (and goats’ hair), וְעֹרֹ֨ת (and skins) אֵילִ֧ם (of rams) מְאָדָּמִ֛ים (dyed red), וְעֹרֹ֥ת (and skins) תְּחָשִׁ֖ים (badger), הֵבִֽיאוּ׃ (brought them in). 24  כָּל־ (Everyone) מֵרִ֗ים (lifting) תְּר֤וּמַת (a contribution) כֶּ֙סֶף֙ (of silver) וּנְחֹ֔שֶׁת (and bronze) הֵבִ֕יאוּ (brought in) אֵ֖ת (-) תְּרוּמַ֣ת (a contribution) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH). וְכֹ֡ל (And everyone) אֲשֶׁר֩ (whom) נִמְצָ֨א (was found) אִתּ֜וֹ (with) עֲצֵ֥י (wood) שִׁטִּ֛ים (acacia), לְכָל־ (for every) מְלֶ֥אכֶת (work) הָעֲבֹדָ֖ה (of the service), הֵבִֽיאוּ׃ (brought it).

25  וְכָל־ (And every) אִשָּׁ֥ה (woman) חַכְמַת־ (wise) לֵ֖ב (of heart), בְּיָדֶ֣יהָ (with her hands) טָו֑וּ (spun) וַיָּבִ֣יאוּ (and they brought in) מַטְוֶ֗ה (what she had spun), אֶֽת־ (-) הַתְּכֵ֙לֶת֙ (of the blue), וְאֶת־ (and) הָֽאַרְגָּמָ֔ן (the purple), אֶת־ (-) תּוֹלַ֥עַת (of the yarn) הַשָּׁנִ֖י (scarlet), וְאֶת־ (and) הַשֵּֽׁשׁ׃ (of the fine linen). 26  וְכָל־ (And all) הַ֨נָּשִׁ֔ים (the women) אֲשֶׁ֨ר (whose) נָשָׂ֥א (was lifted up) לִבָּ֛ן (heart) אֹתָ֖נָה (-) בְּחָכְמָ֑ה (with wisdom) טָו֖וּ (spun) אֶת־ (-) הָעִזִּֽים׃ (the goats’ hair).

27  וְהַנְּשִׂאִ֣ם (And the rulers) הֵבִ֔יאוּ (brought) אֵ֚ת (-) אַבְנֵ֣י (the stones) הַשֹּׁ֔הַם (of onyx), וְאֵ֖ת (and) אַבְנֵ֣י (stones) הַמִּלֻּאִ֑ים (as the settings) לָאֵפ֖וֹד (for the ephod) וְלַחֹֽשֶׁן׃ (and for the breastplate), 28  וְאֶת־ (and) הַבֹּ֖שֶׂם (the spice), וְאֶת־ (and) הַשָּׁ֑מֶן (the oil) לְמָא֕וֹר (for the light), וּלְשֶׁ֙מֶן֙ (and for oil) הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה (of the anointing), וְלִקְטֹ֖רֶת (and for incense) הַסַּמִּֽים׃ (of the spices).

29  כָּל־ (All) אִ֣ישׁ (the men) וְאִשָּׁ֗ה (and woman) אֲשֶׁ֨ר (whose) נָדַ֣ב (impelled him) לִבָּם֮ (heart) אֹתָם֒ (-) לְהָבִיא֙ (to bring in) לְכָל־ (for all) הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה (the work), אֲשֶׁ֨ר (that) צִוָּ֧ה (had commanded) יְהוָ֛ה (YHWH) לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת (to be done) בְּיַד־ (by the hand) מֹשֶׁ֑ה (of Moses), הֵבִ֧יאוּ (brought) בְנֵי־ (the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל (of Israel) נְדָבָ֖ה (a freewill offering) לַיהוָֽה׃פ (to YHWH).

(Exodus 31:1–11)

30  וַיֹּ֤אמֶר (And said) מֹשֶׁה֙ (Moses) אֶל־ (to) בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל (of Israel), רְא֛וּ (See), קָרָ֥א (has called) יְהוָ֖ה (YHWH) בְּשֵׁ֑ם (by name) בְּצַלְאֵ֛ל (Bezalel), בֶּן־ (son) אוּרִ֥י (of Uri), בֶן־ (son) ח֖וּר (of Hur), לְמַטֵּ֥ה (of the tribe) יְהוּדָֽה׃ (of Judah). 31  וַיְמַלֵּ֥א (And He has filled) אֹת֖וֹ (him) ר֣וּחַ (with the Spirit) אֱלֹהִ֑ים (of God), בְּחָכְמָ֛ה (in wisdom), בִּתְבוּנָ֥ה (and in understanding), וּבְדַ֖עַת (and in knowledge), וּבְכָל־ (and in all manner) מְלָאכָֽה׃ (of workmanship), 32  וְלַחְשֹׁ֖ב (and to design) מַֽחַשָׁבֹ֑ת (artistic works), לַעֲשֹׂ֛ת (to work) בַּזָּהָ֥ב (in gold), וּבַכֶּ֖סֶף (and in silver), וּבַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (and in bronze), 33  וּבַחֲרֹ֥שֶׁת (and in cutting) אֶ֛בֶן (stone) לְמַלֹּ֖את (for setting), וּבַחֲרֹ֣שֶׁת (and in cutting) עֵ֑ץ (wood), לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת (and to work) בְּכָל־ (in all manner) מְלֶ֥אכֶת (of workmanship) מַחֲשָֽׁבֶת׃ (artistic). 34  וּלְהוֹרֹ֖ת (And to teach)

נָתַ֣ן (He has given) בְּלִבּ֑וֹ (in his heart), ה֕וּא (he) וְאָֽהֳלִיאָ֥ב (and Oholiab) בֶּן־ (son) אֲחִיסָמָ֖ךְ (of Ahisamach), לְמַטֵּה־ (of the tribe) דָֽן׃ (of Dan). 35  מִלֵּ֨א (He has filled) אֹתָ֜ם (them) חָכְמַת־ (with wisdom) לֵ֗ב (of heart), לַעֲשׂוֹת֮ (to do) כָּל־ (every) מְלֶ֣אכֶת (work), חָרָ֣שׁ׀ (of an engraver), וְחֹשֵׁב֒ (and designer), וְרֹקֵ֞ם (and weaver), בַּתְּכֵ֣לֶת (in the blue), וּבָֽאַרְגָּמָ֗ן (and the purple), בְּתוֹלַ֧עַת (in the yarn) הַשָּׁנִ֛י (scarlet), וּבַשֵּׁ֖שׁ (and in the fine linen), וְאֹרֵ֑ג (and of a weaver), עֹשֵׂי֙ (those who do) כָּל־ (every) מְלָאכָ֔ה (work), וְחֹשְׁבֵ֖י (and those who design) מַחֲשָׁבֹֽת׃ (artistic works).
